​In the mid-1800s, the Li family joins the 30,000 Chinese people that labor relentlessly for the American railroads. After an explosion gone wrong, Michael Li vows to never “Blast” again to his dying father. Years later after surviving famine, raids, Indians, and ridicule, he must break his vow to save his only son and ensure the family name can live on.
